World AIDS Day

December 1, 2007 marks the 19th anniversary of World AIDS Day. Its purpose is to create awareness about the AIDS pandemic raging around the world today. It is estimated that nearly 40 MILLION people are living with HIV — 2.3 million of them are children. With over 4 million new cases every year, raising awareness is critical.

In observance of World AIDS Day, Vox is holding a benefit concert on Sunday, December 9, 2007 from 5:00-10:30 at Kanley Chapel on the campus of WMU. A line up of great music featuring Lake Effect, Their Teeth Will Be of Lions, Kline, A Mighty Little Boat and The Giving Tree will perform. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. All money raised goes to Save the Children.

See you December 9th!
